It is an honor to welcome you to Shasta High School – the Leader of the North! Our school has been providing a rigorous and relevant curriculum for Redding student’s since 1899. We have the most diverse and highest scoring Advanced Placement program in the North state, coupled with an award winning music (instrumental and vocal) program and a highly competitive athletic program. We have a highly qualified staff that truly cares about our students’ education and a counseling staff that works tirelessly to provide academic, career, college and social counseling for our students.

Our school has been recognized three times as a California Distinguished School and we have earned a six year Western Association of Schools and Colleges accreditation. We have a full complement of Career/Technical Education courses including a Science/Technology/ Engineering/Math (STEM) pathway and a comprehensive medical pathway for students that includes: Nursing and Sports Medicine courses on our campus with the addition of Dental in the fall of 2015. We have a strong academic tradition and send students’ annually to Ivy League, University of California, California State Universities, and to 4 year private universities. We have the highest graduation rate in Shasta County and are proud of the fact that a Shasta education is an advantage for life. We look forward to partnering with families to provide the best education possible for our student’s in a safe and caring environment!
